Full Description
At the Taza Chocolate Factory in Somerville, Mass, we craft stone ground chocolate from bean to bar. Fueled by our passion for Mexican chocolate traditions, we hand-carve granite millstones to grind cacao into rustic, organic dark chocolate that bursts with bright, bold flavor and texture. Through our Direct Trade Certified Cacao program, Taza cultivates face-to-face relationships with farmers. By working together directly, we can source the highest quality cacao possible, while paying a premium above the Fair Trade cacao price. Taza Chocolate is certified USDA organic, OU Kosher Pareve, and is Certified Gluten-free, as well as soy-free and dairy-free.
Chocolate lovers can learn about and sample stone ground chocolate at the Taza Chocolate Factory Store, an innovative and educational space featuring viewing windows directly into our factory, offering a close-up look at our chocolate-making machines. For a more in-depth, behind the scenes experience, Taza Chocolate Factory Tours are offered Wednesdays-Sundays. Reservations are required, and the full schedule can be viewed and booked online at www.tazachocolate.com/tours.
